About
I'm a former software engineer turned full-time freelancer and blogger.
I started my food blog, The Little Kitchen in December 2009. I love to share share recipes that are for the most part no-fuss, utilize fresh ingredients and are at the same time indulgent enough to be considered comfort food. I also love to share my knowledge, I wrote a little bit about blogging here.
In 2012, I got laid off from my full-time job and with the encouragement and unending support of my family and friends, I took the plunge and became a full-time blogger and freelancer. It's been 2.5 years and The Little Kitchen is over 5 years old!
My love for food and photography and my passion for helping others is what drives me.
I help organize Food Blog Forum (a conference for food bloggers) and the Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap. I have spoken at the Florida Blogger Conference four years in a row, Food Blog Forum and BlogHer Food.
I have worked with many different brands, such as KitchenAid, Land O Lakes, Athens Foods, Le Creuset, Duda Farm Fresh Foods among many others doing sponsored posts, brand ambassadorships, food photography, contributing to a brand's blog, etc. I have also consulted with non-profits, small businesses and other bloggers on how to utilize social media to help grow their businesses.
I live in Central Florida with my husband, Curtis, two dogs and two cats. I love food, social media, gadgets (I'm a tech nerd), to travel and of course my animals.
